Do you notice when watching a game show how excited the contestants are? They come to the stage and you literally see people break out into sobs or kiss each other and jump around expressing joy and stating that they are going to win the prize no matter what it takes. Guess what? The producers have carefully chosen the contestants based on their happy enthusiastic attitude. They do not want a dull lackluster person on stage.

God is the greatest producer in the universe and when you pray you must come to him with the same enthusiasm you would have to get on a game show. You must come to God/ Great Spirit excited knowing that He will hear your prayer and answer it. The prayers of children are extremely powerful. Their faith is pure. They don’t doubt for a minute that God is not going to answer their prayers.

Many times when I advise people to pray I hear them say in a very defeated attitude, “Yeah, I’ll do that.” It’s as though I’d punished them, and later if I ask did they pray the response is often, “I hope God heard me.” There’s absolutely no exuberance and no belief that the prayer will be answered. This is why some people do not get miracles and those who have impassioned prayers do get miracles.

Get in the game and be enthusiastic. Be a contestant-not a member of the audience!

Prayer Points:

Surrender your problem entirely to God.
Be humble.
Forgive all your enemies.
Have faith. Do not doubt.
Thank God in advance and praise Him.
Pray from the heart. (Enthusiasm)
